Dive Training in Playa del Carmen

The warm Caribbean Sea of Playa del Carmen is the perfect place for your dive training. Dive Mike offers courses for divers of all different levels. The training is conducted both in our pool and the blue ocean.

Even if you never dived before it doesn't take much to get you down in that super-clear Caribbean water. If you're pressed for time or you just want to try it out, Discover Scuba Diving is perfect for you. After a training session in the pool, your instructor takes you on a shallow dive in the ocean just off Playa del Carmen. You'll be surprised just how easy and fun diving is! You will get a temporary certificate so that you can dive more on your vacation to Playa del Carmen.

To become a certified PADI Open Water Diver is also easy. Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification. The course takes about four days, but it's not like going to school. There is some theory involved of course, but most of the course is focused on getting you comfortable with your equipment under water, so you get to dive a lot. With this certification you can dive in other places than Playa del Carmen, since your certification is recognized worldwide. PADI Junior Open Water Diver is available for our younger divers between the ages of 10 and 14.

Playa del Carmen with surroundings is also the perfect set-up for some more advanced dive training. The warm and clear Caribbean Sea is perfect for deep diving. Just off the coast of Playa del Carmen lies the wreck of Mama Viņa. And the underground cave system of the Yucatan peninsula provides us with the most amazing Cave and Cavern diving - famous worldwide! The sinkholes in the area, called Cenotes, allow us to enter this magical world of highly decorated caves filled with the most crystal clear water you are likely to dive.
